Meet the Team
Dalton Milligan -Certified Health Coach – Owner
I have always been an advocate for fitness and wellness ever since my years of adolescence. I was a Track & Field Junior Olympics national champion at the age of 13 and went on to blaze the track scene in the 400m / 800m events on the High School national level. After a standout HS athletic career in football, basketball and track, I continued my athletic career at Clemson University where mainly competed in track and was an ACC Champion and member of two Indoor NCAA Championship Runner-Up teams. I concluded my athletic career running briefly as a professional for Nike prior to entering the military and corporate America.
My ambition as a teen was to be a professional athlete, US Marine Officer, a corporate businessman and an entrepreneur in that order. Needless to say, following the track career was a successful 4-year career as a US Marine. I went on to work in high leadership roles for Fortune 500 powerhouse companies PepsiCo, General Mills and Unilever in the area of increasing process efficiency and workforce skills development. During my time in the military and at each corporate entity served, I received high recognition awards for performance excellence. During my time in the military and corporate America, I was fortunate to work closely as a volunteer with non-profit groups such as PACE, The Boys & Girls Club of America and Ronald McDonald House to promote living a healthy lifestyle and sharing life lessons.
Now, I’ve compiled all of the business acumen acquired through this extensive experience and have applied it to Olympian Fitness and Wellness. My overall passion has always been to help others achieve their desired level of physical fitness and to coach them in living a healthy lifestyle.
My educational and training background includes a Bachelors degree in Economics from Clemson and I am completing an Executive MBA degree from the University of South Florida. My Health Coach certification is from the American Council on Exercise (ACE). I am a member of the Pinellas Chamber of Commerce and its Medical District Group.
Kristen Smithers – Certified Health Coach
I am native of Sarasota, Florida and grew up in a household that promoted fitness as a lifestyle. My mother was the top-ranked swimmer in the world during the early 70’s and my father is one of the state’s most decorated strength and conditioning coaches. I have always exuded a passion for overall wellness. My professional experiences have revolved heavily around structural education within the fitness & health arena with a vision for being active in educating and training people about overall health and preventative measures. My strong desire to serve the surrounding communities within the fitness and wellness sector is fueled by being a cancer survivor.
The educational and professional experiences have prepared me to handle well structured and chaotic environments. I graduated from the University of Florida with BS in Exercise Sport Science and possess a Master of Art in Sports and Fitness Leadership from UCF. My Health Coaching certification is from ACE- American Council on Exercise.
I have 7 years of teaching Health, Physical Education, Aerobics and Health Sciences from K-2 and high school ages. I am a former collegiate athlete that has been involved with coaching, conducting summer camps, and currently an NPC / IFBB Women’s Physique competitor on a national level. As high school prep, I was a member of Team Elite – National Olympic level weight-lifting competition.
I have helped coordinate and facilitated the annual Jackson’s Hope fundraisers in a fight against Batten Disease. This is a rare degenerative disease. While teaching, I was involved with a mentor program that allowed me to work with disadvantaged students. This program provided these students to overcome obstacles that could affect their quest to eventually obtain higher degree post secondary. Although quite challenging, this experience was rewarding to witness these young adults defeat the odds under my guidance. As a graduate assistant at the University of Central Florida, I again found myself in a mentor role. This mentor program allowed me to work with the student-athletes on being able to acquire the appropriate skill sets to lead them into their future careers all while juggling athletic demands and their personal lives. I realized the importance and impact these mentor/mentee programs can have on a young person when the mentee returns to express the positive impact from the program and knowing that I had a part in their success is truly rewarding.
For many years now, I have volunteered at high school weightlifting meets in Sarasota County. In addition, I’ve also had the opportunity to be a guest speaker at Tuttle Elementary to discuss the benefit of health and exercise to elementary age children. I have been fortunate enough to use this platform to encourage and motivate young athletes and children to take ownership of their health and well-being and the value of a healthy lifestyle.
